- well lit with scale
- preferably bright coloured car
Camera
- fine resolution
- telephoto lens > 250 mm focal length ( 24x36 format equivalent)
- appropriate image formats: jpg, raw
- just in line with the long side of the vehicle
- distance to vehicle > 30 m
- distance from the ground about 0.6 m for vehicle heights up to 1.4 m
- otherwise 2 shots with ground clearance 0.6 and 1.2 m.
- up to length of 6 m: in line with the axels of the vehicle, preferable a little more to the ends of the vehicle, for length more than 6 m additional points inbetween
- distance to vehicle > 30 m
- ground clearance 0.6 m for height of vehicle about 1.4 m, otherwise two shots with 0.6 and 1.2 m
- the wheelbase should be visible in each photo
